Tanzania 2012 and Faith's Substance

TANZANIA 2012 Maasai Tribe

I was told that I may have to wear these clothes to minister
to the Maasai.  (Don't laugh...you might be next...smile!)

We just wanted to give you a quick update on an exciting new opportunity that is currently underway. Around the end of July/beginning of August, we will be working with Iris Tanzania to minister to the Maasai Tribe. Tyren will travel to Tanzania, and will host a seminar for pastors and others in Maasai Land and also hold evangelism events. Pastor Deus, Director of Iris Tanzania, is now conducting preliminary ministry in Maasai Land to prepare things for when I arrive. Afterwards, we (Tyren and Tiffany) want to bring the 5 leaders of Iris Ministries Tanzania together in Mwanza for a special meeting that will last about 3 days in order for them to personally meet together and set the stage for new things the Lord has put on their hearts for Iris Ministries Tanzania.

Soon, we’ll send out a blog with more information. We invite you to join us in prayer and partner with us to help support Iris Ministries Tanzania in fulfilling their God-given commission.

The Substance of Faith – Believing the Lord’s Report

During Sunday service, I had to stop right in the middle of my sermon to ask the church to pray for Mr. W’s wife. Mr. W didn’t look well, so I couldn’t go on preaching. His wife was far away in their family’s garden harvesting crops. He had received a message that she was very sick. She had already been sick for days with a fever and wasn’t improving. The church prayed for her, and then I honestly felt that the Holy Spirit moved us into praise and thanksgiving for her healing. I believed something happened. But, Monday morning, Mr. W came to my house upset. Someone had come with another message (after Sunday’s service) saying that he needed to go see his wife because she wasn’t doing well at all. We prayed with him before he left to see her.  When Mr. W went to see his wife, to his surprise, she was fine and eating normally.  She told him that on Sunday about 12 noon (a little after we had prayed for her in church) she suddenly felt a hot sensation come upon her, and she felt the fever leaving her body. A few hours later she was fine. Her children, who were also reported as not feeling well, were also fine. Mr. W explained to her that she was totally healed right after the church had prayed for her. He told his wife that what she felt was the power of the Holy Spirit upon her, and that Jesus was there with her to heal her.  F.Y.I: Mr. W’s wife received Jesus over a year ago, but because of threats of being excommunicated from her Muslim side of the family, she has not been following Christ. Pray that God would shower her with His love and understanding, free her from fear, and help her to fully surrender her life to become a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Pray that the Lord would continue to have mercy on us, show us His salvation, and give us the privilege of revealing His name to people that believe and others who refuse to believe. We desperately need the presence of the Lord, so that His kingdom would come in life changing ways here in Lichinga and beyond.

In His great love,

Tyren and Tiffany Haynes
