Testimonies: Harvests from the Field

Assumane Church
(Testimony from a woman in our church) A man was paralyzed on one side of his body. He couldn’t move his arm or leg. People used witchcraft, even cutting slits in his arms and applying traditional medicine and practices. Nothing worked. The Lord spoke to a woman who goes to our church (she can’t read or write). She prayed for the man, and the next day, the man was walking and eating by himself. Imagine the shame and embarrassment that the Lord removed from this man’s life. He can actually bathe himself now! The people told her that she must be a powerful witch doctor (someone who calls forth evil spirits (seriously), and works all types of “traditional” medicine). She confessed that Jesus healed the person, not her.

Different kids may visit our church.
They all are so beautiful.
Assumane Sunday School
After teaching about the Good Samaritan, we asked if anyone needed prayer. An older girl stood up and confessed that she needed to love God more. We prayed for her. Moments like these leave impressions on my heart. The hearts of kids are being touched and changed by Jesus Christ.

Hospital Ministry
Mandy, one of the new missionaries at our center took part in the Hospital ministry this week. We met a lady there who was kind of “standoffish” and not showing interest in communicating with us. Mandy gave her a hug, and immediately the woman smiled, opened her heart and began sharing things with us. She was a Muslim, but wished Mandy a successful time in her work with the Lord. The Hospital ministry is a mercy ministry. When love is received, people change and are even healed.

Prison Ministry
After teaching the prisoners about hearing God’s voice, we waited on the presence of the Lord. The Lord began to speak to the prisoners individually, and manifest Himself to them. It was a new and very big moment for many of the prisoners. One person heard God speak to him, another received mental images, and others were filled with joy. They understood and had experienced that the Father loves to speak to His children, and that they could hear His voice.

Celebrating graduation!
Homeschool
A lot of things happened this year in homeschool that took time away from the normal schedule. We had a baby, a 6-week visit from Grandma, 4 trips to Malawi, a 2 week visit from Tiffany’s sister, and numerous other things that occur as part of ministry here. But, my wife was still able to successfully skip Isaiah a grade level, and start teaching Chayah as well. We recently not only had a graduation for the kids, but we had a surprise graduation, full of gifts for the teacher as well! As my wife tirelessly gave herself to the Lord and her family, we saw the Lord graduating her into a whole new level, spiritually, in her own life. Hallelujah!

UPDATE: TANZANIA 2012 - MAASAI LAND

TRIP DATES: JULY 24 – AUGUST 16

I will be holding a “bush conference” in the forest where the Maasai live, so things will be a lot different than conferences that we are used to in the U.S. This is what I can tell you based on an update I just received from Pastor Deus, Iris Ministries Director in Tanzania (who returned from Maasai Land):

We’ll go by bus 20 hours away from the city of Mwanza to get to the Maasai tribes in the forests. There’s no electricity, no accommodations (for guests), and cell phone coverage is limited. We’ll be with the Maasai in their own environment, wear our Maasai outfits, and sleep in tents in a forest. I had wanted to hold a small conference of 12-15 Maasai pastors. But, as I prayed, I kept thinking that 100 pastors would show up. I didn’t tell anyone what I believed the Lord had told me in prayer. This past Wednesday, I received an email from Iris Ministries Tanzania saying that I should expect 100 pastors and church leaders from various churches. God is up to something very special, and whatever He wants to do is fine with me. True ministry only happens when we do what God shows us He is doing. Let’s believe God! This is going to be a great adventure full of the Holy Spirit, love and mighty power.

Here’s the plan for the entire Tanzania trip: Hold a 2-3 day conference for 100+ pastors in Maasai land (some coming from far away) to teach, encourage and strengthen them. I was told that it would be very good if I provided food for them. I’ll teach during the morning, send teams for hut-to-hut evangelism in the afternoon, and invite the unsaved and sick to a big evangelism event the last afternoon. Then, if possible we’ll have a more personalized 2 day seminar with a few pastors who live around the forest area where we’ll be staying. Then, I’ll travel back to Mwanza, rest for a day, and hold the Iris Tanzania Leadership training.

If you would like to serve by giving financially, checks can be sent to: Church of the Living God, 199 Deming St., Manchester CT 06042. Please write ‘Haynes – Tanzania 2012’ in the memo. Church office phone number: (860) 648-0520. Or, you could donate online at: http://www.clgonline.net/Missions/Missionaries.aspx. 100% of your donation will go towards this trip.

Important: Please remember to send us a quick email with the amount you donate, so that we can set it aside for Tanzania 2012. If possible, please send your donations by July 25. Our email address is: heartsforharvest@yahoo.com

Thank you for praying and seeking the Lord’s heart for this trip. Your prayers will help prepare the way for greater ministry and deeper encounters with the Lord Jesus.  Your donations will help physically set the stage for a life changing event bearing lasting fruit.  It’s going to be a great adventure! I believe we’ll experience things in ministry that we never experienced before. Pray for waves of glory, grace, and unusual things!

In the abundance of love,

TANZANIA 2012 – Maasai Land, July 24 through August 16

Iris Ministries Tanzania Director, Pastor Deus, myself, and
Pastor Deus' wife, Elizabeth
Last year while I was in Tanzania, someone from Iris Ministries Tanzania prophesied that I would take the gospel to the Maasai tribe. Well, now is the time! And even if I really do have to wear my Maasai outfit, there will be great joy in fulfilling the Lord’s word. This is going to be an awesome ministry time, and we believe God is going to move greatly and in new ways. July 24 – August 16, I will be ministering in both Maasai Land itself, and then returning to the city of Mwanza to hold a short leadership training for the 5 leaders of Iris Tanzania. Since Tiffany and I are planning the event, we’ll also be paying the costs of both events.  Here’s a brief look at what is being planned.

In Maasai Land – I will be doing the following: hosting a conference (both teaching and ministering) for pastors and others who work with the Maasai people; evangelism events including house-to-house evangelism where pastors/leaders will not only preach in word and in power, but also be like personal servants demonstrating the love of Christ at the huts (homes) we’ll be visiting. We know that we’ll be paying fare and accommodations for myself, Pastor Deus, and a translator (who speaks Maasai language) to travel from Mwanza, Tanzania, to Maasai land, and paying for at least one meal for the pastors per day. (I was told that we will either stay in tents that we provide ourselves, or we can pay to have a small hut built for us. This is going to be an interesting trip full of surprises!)

2011:  Myself and Pastor Deus

Iris Leadership Training – For about four days, I’ll hold a short training on leadership for the 5 Iris Ministries Tanzania leaders and their spouses (10 people in all) in the city of Mwanza. We’ll need to pay for their food, accommodations while in Mwanza, and return fare to their village/town. This will also be a special time for the Iris Leaders to have a face to face meeting to prepare for the new things God is doing in their ministry (because of costs it’s not easy for them to arrange such meetings for themselves).

Partner With Us
We’d like to extend to you the opportunity to help us with “Tanzania 2012 – Maasai Land” and the Iris Leader’s meeting. Firstly, please join us in praying for both events. We feel that God has new and different things planned for this awesome trip. You are also welcome to donate financially. Please send checks to Church of the Living God, 199 Deming St., Manchester CT 06042, and write ‘Haynes – Tanzania 2012’ in the memo. Or, you could donate online at http://www.clgonline.net/Missions/Missionaries.aspx.  Please send us a quick email with the amount you donate, so that we can set it aside for Tanzania 2012. If possible, please send your donations by July 25.

We’ll send you more detailed information soon (Pastor Deus just arrived back from Maasai Land on Monday). Please pray for “Tanzania 2012 – Maasai Land” that the winds of the Spirit would blow, His rain would come abundantly, and His fire would fall all over. Join us in praying for salvations, healings, miracles, pastors who will continue to faithfully carry on God’s work with the Maasai tribes, and that I would be bold, bringing forth clear teaching, and prophetically demonstrating the love and kingdom of God.

In His great love,

Tyren and Tiffany Haynes
