Dear Friends,

We thank all of you who have prayed for us, donated financially, and supported us in many other ways in 2012.  As in previous years, we made this newsletter to say thank you and to capture the entire year in a way for you to see the great things God has used you to accomplish in Mozambique and beyond.  2012 has been a year of seeing new things, experiencing God like never before, and watching our Lord fulfill promises He has made to us.  Feel free to email it, print it, and share it with others.

You can view or download the newsletter online.

If you are not able to view or download the newsletter online, please email us and we'll email you a copy.

We also want to say, "Thank You" very much to everyone who prayed for us and sent donations to us in response to the Sept. 25 attack.  Due to your love shown through your contributions we are able to replace the items that were stolen.  Some things we have already sent here and received.  Thank you for your testimony of love and faith as you stand with us for Christ and His gospel.

Thank you again for an amazing year, and for helping us extend the kingdom and love of God in Africa.  Love,

Tyren and Tiffany Haynes

Assumane Fun Day and More

Merry Christmas
As we celebrate the birth and life of our Saviour Jesus Christ, we pray that you would experience a refreshing of His life and love during this season!

Here's a glimpse of some activities that we've been doing during the month.

We had Team Ignition from The World Race at our center for about 2 weeks.  Besides doing many ministry activities, several came to our house to bake Christmas cookies.

The World Race team, missionaries from our center and members of Assumane Church worked together to host this year's Assumane (Village) Fun Day on Saturday, Dec 15.  Fun Day is a time of fun while demonstrating the love of the Kingdom of God. We included a special activity for adults.  Whoever could catch the chickens running in the open field got to keep one as a prize!  For the first time, many people in the community joined in the fun as mothers painted children's nails and men painted faces. The Lord did many special things during the day.  He also opened many people's hearts to the gospel.

Christmas Eve, the police who help patrol our center and some others, came to our center for a surprise visit
just to see us and greet us for Christmas.  We blessed them with cinnamon swirl bread that Tiffany made, and we
prayed for them before they left.

Prison Ministry:  Through your prayers and support we also donated a few things to the prison where Tyren ministers once a week.  300 packs of cookies and 300 pieces of candy for all of the prisoners, chocolate for the guards, and rice and other special food for the prisoners who take part in the Tuesday ministry.

We are still experiencing salvations and healings, and are strengthening disciples in their passionate pursuit of Christ.  Please pray that the Lord would grace us to quicken the pace, abandon ourselves to the Father's love, and release disciples (laid down lovers) who will die to themselves that the hope of Christ may be presented from the bars and the streets to the villages, cities and beyond.

Hearts set on pilgrimage and awakened by His love,

Tyren and Tiffany

Manifesting the Kingdom of God

Healing through Root Issue Repentance
A person who has a high position in one of the government sectors came to our center along with someone else.  They were told about a missionary, Angela, who is visiting our center.   Angela is a doctor by trade, but also is used by God to heal through getting at root issues.  For many months, this first individual had woken up every morning with pain across the shoulders.   The Lord revealed that the person needed to repent for bitterness and unforgiveness.  After repenting and receiving prayer, the pain left.

 disciple during the week.
The second person was also suffering.   Angela told the individual that, medically, there was nothing wrong.  As she discussed things with the individual, the Lord revealed root issues.  The person had gone to see a witch doctor, and his problems started right after that visit.  Again, after repenting and then receiving prayer, he was completely healed.  Both of these people were Christians.  They left our center pain free, repentant and very happy.

Baby Nurses Again
Our friend, Mr. White’s wife just had a baby.  At the hospital, the baby had been nursing well, but then suddenly stopped drinking and would no longer nurse.  Many relatives were also at the hospital, and wanted to try traditional remedies (getting charms from the witch doctor) to get the baby to begin drinking milk again.  But, Mr. White told them no.  He prayed to the Lord in front of all of them.  He said, “In Jesus name, this baby will eat again.”  After praying, the baby suddenly began to nurse again.  Then, he told the rest of the family about the power of God.

Apprehended by Love
A man came up to me in the outside market (where produce is sold) acting unruly.  The man wouldn’t leave me alone; but instead of responding to him, I was drawn to only respond to the Lord.  As I spoke only what the Lord wanted me to speak the power of those words quieted the man.  For the first time, he listened to me as I told him how the Lord could make him free if he opened his heart to believe in Jesus.  He walked away in peace.

The Father’s Heart
A visiting missionary was sharing in the prison about the Father's heart.  Men of the prison who needed to, repented and forgave their earthly fathers for things they had done to them.  Then they were invited to open their hearts to receive the love that God the Father has for them.  At the end, we invited men to come and receive a hug representing the love Father God has for them.  Many men came, and Victo (who had come with me this time) and I prophesied over them as we hugged them.  The Holy Spirit moved deeply in their hearts as He broke things off of their iives.  It was a beautiful time.

Join with us in thanking God and praying that He would raise up disciples who will carry His heart throughout Mozambique.  Pray that as we preach the gospel, the Lord will give tangible and powerful demonstrations of His kingdom to heal, save, bring freedom and draw people into a life-changing relationship with our Saviour, Jesus Christ!
Love,
