We Moved Into Our New House

HOUSE FOR GOD'S PLEASURE
We moved into our house on Thursday, September 11, just in time to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary. Our children, Amerel and Isaiah, were beyond excited, and still are. They are running all over the place. Amerel prayed that God would give us joy moving into our new house. We all are full of the joy of the Lord. My wife and I are seeing and experiencing the gift that God was giving us in providing our own place. Now, we have more time to spend together as a family, just us. For the past 14 months (since June 2007), we lived out of one room, and have been living in a house with other people. For 3 months, I had to sleep with Isaiah, and Tiffany slept with Amerel. The rest of the time, the children's beds were about 3 feet away from our bed. Now, the children have their own rooms.

Since we moved into our house, we¡¦ve been very busy doing the Lord¡¦s work. Yesterday, we finished installing glass into all the wood window frames using silicone and very small nails. Much to Tiffany¡¦s excitement, we installed the bathroom sink. Oh, we also have a toilet bowl that actually flushes everything down without needing a whole bucket of water to flush it! We still don¡¦t have running water or a bore hole, so all of our water is still pulled from the neighboring well and we use buckets of water for flushing, bathing, cooking, etc. Continue to pray for the finances to have a bore hole dug. Tiffany¡¦s gas stove with the extra broiling (grilling) burner is working well also.

At separate times, both of us have looked around and just about cried. We left the U.S. with suitcases. We gave away many things and sold other things. We're pilgrims (sojourners) in a foreign land of promise. Here, the Lord gave us a house and land (for free). We have beds, an indoor bathroom, a book case, buckets to store well water, bicycles for our children, and a grass fence around our land, a motorbike, plastic dishes and cups. The Lord has truly been caring for us. We¡¦re looking beyond kingdom principles, giving and receiving, and looking beyond our needs (Matt 6:33) to simply see our great God for who He is and enjoy life with Him.
VISITING THE U.S.
That's right. We'll be visiting the U.S. in the beginning of November, and will stay until around mid-January 2009. Someone bought each of us round trip plane tickets for part of the journey from South Africa to the U.S. Hallelujah! We pray and believe the Lord will provide the rest to get from Lichinga to South Africa, so we¡¦ll be seeing you soon.
P.S. LOVE PACKAGES
Remember, packages only take about 2 weeks to reach Lichinga, Mozambique when shipped using the U.S. Post Office priority mail flat rate boxes (or other U.S. Post Office priority mail boxes). So, you still have enough time to send some :)
