The Beginning Of New Things At Our Center

The spiritual inauguration of the children’s center, Village of Joy, was wonderful. Both Rolland and Heidi Baker came to anoint the first orphan girls house and dedicate it to the Lord (see photo). Pastor Mario, a local Pastor in Beira who is a spiritual covering for the center as well, also spent the weekend with us. We spent time worshipping the Lord, praying for one another, and being greatly encouraged and strengthened by the many prophetic words that were given this weekend. Many people were saved during the outreaches on Friday and Saturday nights in the city and in Sambula village. Follow-up is being done in the village. In Sambula, a crazy woman was delivered and her family said later that she was eating and acting normally.

The main work for on our house has been completed. We had a special lunch for the workers which included goat, sausage, juice and cookies. Some of them have never had sausage. We also spent time worshipping, and I encouraged them with a few words. I miss them, but know that it’s time to release them into greater things. Only one of the four workers, Enos, will be with us for a few more weeks as he builds a grass fence around our house. The fence will help protect the property, as well as give our children a safe and private place to play. We are also “taking the hill” next to our house. It’s being cleared and fenced in along with the rest of our property. The hill is about as high as our roof and gives a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Since the workers have finished and left, I actually feel like a big (but delightful) burden of ministry was taken off of me. It feels as though I was yoked to a huge plow, plowing some spiritual field.

When will we move into our house?
As long as we have the outside doors on our house, we are going to move into our new house in time to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary on Sept. 13th. We’ll finish everything else that needs to be completed after we move in. There is no running water or electricity in our area, but we will have drainage pipes for the bathroom and kitchen. Isn’t that wonderful! We’ll actually be able to use sinks to drain dirty water into the septic tank, instead of using plastic basins and dumping them outside manually, which is what we do now.
The more I look at our house, the more I see that God was doing the work. Sure the walls aren’t straight and some things aren’t level. But, that was part of the cost of allowing people to see Jesus more than my desire for straight and level walls. I’ve been so conscious of the Lord literally giving us the time to work, and increasing the product of our labor. It’s like He created a space of time in this world, and gave us everything we needed to complete His will within that time He created for us. We allowed God to work in our lives, so our work was actually the work of His hands upon us and through us. I can say, the Lord built the house. We worked when He enabled us to work on the house, and everyone spent considerable time worshipping and praying during work hours as well. When the Lord is the builder of our lives, He then gets the glory in whatever is produced by us because whatever we do is actually the work of His hands.
God bless you as you live for His glory.
We love you,
Tyren and Tiffany Haynes
