TANZANIA 2013: FIRE CONFERENCE (LOVE OF GOD)

TRAVEL/CONFERENCE DATES:  MAY 12 – 23
LOCATION:  KIGOMA, TANZANIA

LOVE believes all things     LOVE hopes all things     LOVE endures all things
LOVE NEVER FAILS

Iris pastors and leaders from the refugee camp
who attended our seminar in 2011.
In 2010, I met a group of Iris pastors who live in a refugee camp in Tanzania.  Since then, they have been asking me to come.  This year, we’ll be hosting the conference among Iris Pastors and many others who have escaped horrendous conditions in war stricken Congo, and now live facing many challenges  and sufferings as refugees.  The conference will be open to all who live in the camp.  We also plan to reserve time for Pastor Deus and myself to spend time with and minister to the Iris churches that are within the camp.

We are expecting more than manifestations of healings, signs and salvations.  We are too attracted to Jesus to simply believe for these things.  We believe this conference must be different. We long for a holy fire that will break into the depths of the human heart leaving people abandoned  to the extreme and unadulterated love of God; a fire that will make the sermon on the mount a desirable lifestyle even for refugees; a fire that will fill people with the riches of God so that Christ’s love will flow out of them to their fellow neighbors.  We long for His presence, are desperate for His love, and will rely on His passion for this people (and ourselves) to see true love break through in a refugee camp.  The Iris churches in the camp are thoroughly excited and are already praying for this conference.  (Pastor Deus visited the camp in March to start preparing things legally and also personally met with Iris pastors about the conference).

PARTNER:  As the Lord touches your hearts, you are welcome to partner with us through prayer and financial support.  We value your prayers as vital channels will open, the impossible will become possible, and the way will be prepared for tremendous breakthrough and outpouring!  Thank you in advance for your partnership and love.

DONATE:  All donations are tax deductible when sent through our home church, Church of the Living God, 199 Deming St., Manchester CT 06042, (860)648-0520. Please include "Haynes" in the memo if you are writing a check. If possible, please send us an email so that your donation can be designated for Tanzania 2013.    You can also donate online via our home church’s secure website:  http://www.clgonline.net/Missions/Missionaries.aspxAs in previous years, we'll need to provide all travel, lodging and food costs for myself, Tyren, and Iris Tanzania Director, Pastor Deus, and all costs involved in holding the conference.  We hope to be able to provide simple gifts for the Iris churches and, if possible, offer some kind of food assistance as well.

PRAY

  • for the (spiritual) fire storm of God’s presence that will shake, reshape and restore hearts to the Lord Himself
  • for an outbreak of love for God and sincere love for others that will continue well after the conference is over
  • that God will allow us to practically demonstrate His love to hungry and hurting people
  • for continued favor in the final preparation and approval of all documents
  • that things will run smoothly in God’s order:  pray for favor, grace, mercy, thanksgiving
  • that Tyren will stand strong in faith and love to believe God for all that He wants to do
Love, Tyren and Tiffany Haynes

Abiding in the Presence

We know that it’s much more precious to choose a life of abiding in the Lord and living in His presence than it is to just seek to accomplish the works of ministry-such as signs, healings, and even salvations.   As we abide and rely on the Father’s working, we are seeing the Holy Spirit perform things in the hearts of people that bring them freedom and a deeper brokenness to truly grow in relationship with the Lord and in the kingdom of God.

Prison Ministry:  Right in the middle of worship during prison ministry, I was filled with holy anger as I watched one of the prisoners in the courtyard, who’s not part of our group, smoking.  The holy anger came because this man was in bondage and being oppressed.  The Holy Spirit was not pleased.  So, I left the group and ministered to this man whom I didn’t know.  In the meantime, the group leader was trying to get my attention because they had finished their worship time.  I was thinking about leaving when I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to wait.  So, I continued ministering to the man in love.  The man agreed to receive prayer to be free from this addictive power.  I didn’t know if he claimed to be Christian or Muslim.  It wasn’t important.  As I prayed, a joy came over the man as the Holy Spirit set him free.   Then, I went back to the group and continued ministering, teaching on the importance of moving with the Holy Spirit in what He is doing.

Watchmen (who watch the Lord, Psalm 127:1):  The Lord seems really intent on making lovers (for Jesus) out of our center’s watchmen (guards).   Apart from practical guarding and other activities, prayer and ministry is important so that the focus remains on Christ and nothing else.  The presence of the Lord is upon us right at the beginning of (or even before) the short prayer times we have together.  One day as we were surrendering our hearts before the Lord, one of the guards experienced the fire of God through his body.  On a different day, another guard was filled with joy.  As their hearts are being touched, they are learning the value of serving whole-heartedly as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24).  It’s a privilege to see how the Lord is preparing their hearts for His presence, and bringing these Christian watchmen to a greater place of surrender, love for God, and love for one another.

Discipleship – Touched by the Presence:  We are also seeing the move of the Holy Spirit in the life of one of the people that Tyren is discipling.  Many times as Tiffany is worshiping with the children in the house in the morning (in English), our day worker Mr. White, who doesn’t speak English, is outside being so touched by the presence of God that he told us he finds it difficult to do anything.  He stops what he’s doing and worships in his own language.

Pray that the Lord awakens our guards, missionaries, and others to a deep hunger for His presence, and for abiding in Him.  Pray that we learn to surrender more to what the Lord is doing, so that people we minister to would experience God’s love and transformation.  So much is happening through your love, support and prayers.  Thank you for being a blessing to our ministry!!
