Happy New Year!

New Year meal:  Lasagna, apple crisp, juice.  Roses are
from our yard.
As this new year continues, the Lord is already having us surrender to know Him more, and recognize the new things He is bringing upon us.  It’s a new phase for us, and we are looking forward to see the surprises God will bring forth.  Here are a few things that are going on now.

Passing the Baton
I, Tyren, will be passing the baton for the prison and Assumane Village ministries.  These were my main ministries where I learned so much about how ministry operates, hosting His presence, and outpourings.  Mr. Daylight, whom I’ve been discipling and who helps me in the prison, will lead the prison ministry.  My friend and long-standing ministry partner, Victo, will lead the work in Assumane.  I am excited for Assumane, because I know that the fire of God will increase as the disciples are released into the will of God.  I will continue to be involved overseeing the prison ministry and fathering the work in Assumane.
Testimony:  One of the Assumane disciples, Mr. White, was asked to pray for a pregnant woman who thought she was overdue.  He told her that she’d have the baby the next day.  The next day, he was called to see the woman.  There she was holding her baby!  She said, “I’ve been waiting 2 weeks to have this baby.  How could you say that I was going to have the baby on this day?”  He started telling her about God.

Iris Ministries Lichinga
The Lord has always called our center to be a holy place that hosts His presence and where people live a life of worship.  This year Tyren will be ministering to our guards/workers (they’re Christian) to help them be more sensitive to the presence of God, and serve as laid-down lovers in order to become a more active part of the overall ministry here.  In the Hospitality Ministry, Tiffany will continue preparing for visitors and ministering to the hearts of visitors to help them receive what the Lord has for them here.
Testimony: The World Race team has traveled around to various countries, but when they came to our center in December, several testified of how it was so easy to hear the voice of God here.

Compassion
The Lord is increasing my love for drunkards, people on the streets and for children. In Lichinga this year, I will be spending more time on the streets just to bring the kingdom of God (love, power, presence, healing, salvation, etc.) to people.  Next week, while in Malawi for service on our car, new eyeglasses, and some other things, we’ll intentionally spend time with people on the streets. This is a door the Lord has opened to us.  Please pray that the Lord would fill us with a fresh anointing, and that His love would pour out on the streets in tangible and miraculous ways.
Testimony: After some time, we were able to help a friend bring three orphans of a deceased relative to live with him in Lichinga.

The Lord has given us various activities to do the ministry the Lord has called us to do – that is, preparing people’s hearts for His presence.  Pray for us and with us, as we seek His glory, prepare hearts for His presence, and release people into their divine destiny here in Mozambique and beyond.  Let us believe and trust God for greater works this year as we remain focused on what is truly the ministry – worshipping Him with all that we are!
