The Past Several Weeks...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  We thank God for all of you who stand with us enabling us to spread the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ in the nations, especially Mozambique.

To let you know what we've been up to the past several weeks, we've included several photos in this blog (see below).

We celebrated Berasia's first birthday in the beginning of October.
(Tiffany's birthday was the day before.)

At the end of October, we were released by our base director to spend a week relaxing  (after the Sept. robbery attack) at the Iris base in Pemba.   Relaxing didn't happen.  But, we had amazing encounters with Jesus during the
3 Iris Harvest School sessions we attended where Heidi Baker taught.  Amerel and Isaiah were deeply marked
during those encounters.  We also spent time at the beach and with people who wanted to treat us to a meal!

It takes about 12 hours to drive to Pemba (close to 500 miles).  Some roads were good.  Others were bumpy, dirt roads
passing through beautiful forests.  We got to see some monkeys and an iguana along the way!

Isaiah celebrated his 9th birthday this month with the children at our base in Lichinga. Amerel's birthday is next week.

Prison and hospital ministries, discipleships, Assumane village, and ministry at our center
are all going well.  Above, a visiting missionary, Angela Walker, was teaching in Assumane
last week about forgiveness and healing.  She will be teaching in Assumane for several weeks
to help the disciples grow in various areas.

We are currently in Malawi (a neighboring country).  We mainly traveled (an 8 hour trip) to get new prescription glasses because my old ones are scratched and unclear.  We are trying to make the most of it by squeezing in a dentist appointment, scheduling needed car maintenance (certified and guaranteed work; this is the closest place to get this kind of service), eating food we can't buy in Lichinga, and enjoying hot showers at SIM's missionary guest house in Blantyre!  In a few days, we'll be back home in Lichinga.  My new glasses are supposed to be completed by Friday.

In December, our Iris center is planning to host a World Race Team and an Iris Harvest Mission School outreach team at the same time.  This is the first time our center has done something like this.  Pray for the Lord's grace and presence to be throughout Iris Lichinga.  December will be a wonderful opportunity to impact churches, believers, and unbelievers with the help of two dynamic teams whose hearts are set to leave life changing impact in the nations!

Love,  Tyren and Tiffany Haynes
